Mrs. Biondich

A bit about Nikki Biondich

Hello! I am Nikki Biondich, and I am one of the 1st grade teachers at Esko. For most of my teaching career I was at Barnum Elementary School with 16 years in kindergarten and 4 years as a reading intervention teacher. Being in this community makes you realize how brightly the school shines and that drew me to wanting to make the shift to be teaching in the community where I am raising my children. Hard work, a strong sense of community and Esko pride are evident all around.

I currently live in Esko with my husband, our two children and our dog Lucy. The boys keep us busy with their activities and love of being outdoors! In the summer you can find me camping, kayaking, gardening, running and just enjoying being outside. In the winter we are likely watching or playing hockey. I also love to read or listen to audio books.

I attended Minnesota State Mankato where I received my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education.  From Saint Mary’s University, I obtained my Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning. Finally, I received my K-12 Reading License from Hamline University. I love learning new things and sharing those ideas with others. In addition to being a mom and elementary school teacher I am also an adjunct faculty member at Saint Mary’s University where I co-facilitate in their M.Ed in Teaching and Learning program. With each community I have I feel like I grow even more as a teacher.

Teaching is truly a gift. I feel lucky to be part of this amazing community helping your children grow in academics, but also in how they interact with each other and the world. I look forward to working with the staff, community, families and students this year and for many more to come.
