Esko Schools will soon have a new fitness center for our students, staff and community members! After completing our school safety assessment and working on our ten-year facilities plan, it was deemed an important safety measure to move our current fitness center to an outside wall to control access. This project is nearing completion, and we are excited to bring a new fitness center to our community!
We are partnering with Essentia again to provide both a community fitness center
and therapy area. This partnership will also provide a trainer on site for our student athletes and therapy appointments in town for community members. Essentia is providing a large share of the fitness equipment, and the District has also received a generous donation from the Esko Sports Alliance to provide some state of the art lifting stations. This donation shows the outstanding commitment this organization provides to our student athletes and community in general.
The new building is completed, and we are now waiting on the arrival of the equipment. If everything arrives on schedule, we are planning to have a grand opening in June. More information to follow.
