Esko School Vision
 
Esko staff, students and community will work together to provide a safe and enriching environment that promotes academic and co-curricular excellence that will maximize every student's lifelong success.
 
School Goals for 2009-2014
 
  1. The Esko School Board will be fiscally responsible and will follow fund balance policy 701.2. This includes maintaining appropriate cash flow amounts, prioritizing expenditures and maximizing all funding options.

  1. The area in and around the school building will be assessed to provide a safe environment for all students, community members and staff.

  1. The Esko School District will provide 21st century learning skills to the students by incorporating critical thinking skills, analytical thinking skills, problem solving, collaborative learning and evaluation skills into our learning activities.

  1. Align staff development with district curricular needs that will enhance student success.

  1. Provide an educational experience that challenges all students at their level. This will include differentiating instruction for all students by developing a gifted/talented philosophy and training staff in high quality instructional techniques.

  1. Evaluate & revise, if necessary, existing high school course offerings and programs to meet the expectations of our school and community vision.
 
Other Areas of Emphasis
 
  • The administration will continue to communicate and collaborate with the staff and community.
  • The district will continue to hire and train, staff that are excellent instructors, who have a passion to become involved in other areas that include coaching, refereeing, supervising activities, participating on district committees and willing to help out in other areas of the school.
  • The district will continue to focus on physical wellness by maintaining the efforts initiated by our wellness committee and policy.
  • A five-year capital project plan will be identified and followed to maintain our current building and sites.
  • The district will stay current with technology enhancements that will lead to improved student learning.
